This program presents in frank terms the meanings of advanced medical interventions, as well as what their outcomes could mean for patients in the short and long term. Advance care planning, advance directives, and the importance of palliative care are discussed. William Lombard, MD, nephrologist and medical director of the Mt. Baker Kidney Center, is the presenter. He will explain the important difference between a POLST and an advance directive. These interactive sessions include Q&A.
