Whatcom Project Access

Whatcom Project Access is a partnership between the Whatcom County Medical Society & the Whatcom Alliance for Healthcare Access. Through Whatcom Project Access, local specialists and other medical providers generously donate their time and resources to provide care for eligible patients.

Our collective aim is to more effectively serve uninsured, lower-income people in Whatcom County by:

Ensuring an equitable distribution of lower-income, uninsured patients
Providing program support to physician offices
Attracting other resources to improve the quality of care and ensure program sustainability

Whatcom Project Access provides a comprehensive referral system that includes ancillary services and patient tracking, so volunteer physicians can focus on what they do best – providing care. WAHA also tracks the value of donated care to leverage additional resources and ensure program sustainability.
