Insurance Tools to UseWAHA is dedicated to providing quality, impartial information to help individuals, families, business owners, and patient advocates get access to healthcare. These information sheets were designed as tools to help you sort out the options and make the process of applying for public and commercial insurance easier. Although some of these tools may appear complicated at first glance, we have worked hard to collect and simplify information from various sources to make navigation of the healthcare system easier. The quickest and easiest way to decide which of these tools apply to you is to call our Access Counselors for a free, confidential screening. You can call us at (360) 788-6594, M-F between 8:30-5:30. Commercial Insurance ProductsThere are a variety of commercial insurance products available to individuals and families who pass the Washington State health screening. The tools below are designed to help you evaluate the options for commercial health insurance.
If you do not pass the health screening you can get coverage through the Washington State Health Insurance Pool (WSHIP).
Public Insurance OptionsPublic insurance coverage is offered by two state agencies as well as the federal government. Each program has its own eligibility requirements and covered services. The following tools are designed to give an overview of the public insurances that are available.
